This Privacy Policy explains how FileYoga works, how it treats your files, and what data is collected when you use the Website and Service. It is written in clear language to make it easy to read and translate.
Effective date: 29 November 2025
1. Who we are
FileYoga (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website https://fileyoga.com (the “Website”) and provides browser based tools for converting, compressing, organizing, splitting, merging and modifying files (the “Service”).
A “User” or “you” means any visitor who accesses or interacts with the Website or the Service. A “File” means any document, image, PDF, archive, media file or other content that you use inside our tools.
2. How our tools handle your files
FileYoga is designed so that file operations happen locally in your browser. When you use a tool to convert, compress, merge or split a File, that File is processed on your device instead of being uploaded to our servers.
We do not upload the content of your Files to our servers, and we do not scan, read or store the content of your Files. We do not use your Files for training models, building profiles or creating marketing audiences. When you close the browser tab, your Files close with it and we cannot restore them, because we do not keep copies on our servers.
3. What we do not collect
Through the tools on the Website, we do not collect the content of your Files. We do not collect the text, images, documents, archives or media that you open in our tools. We also do not collect calculator inputs, converter values or specific form entries that you type into tool fields.
We do not ask you to create an account to use the core tools, so we do not store usernames, login passwords or personal usage history tied to your name. We do not sell your personal information and we do not build personal profiles based on how you use FileYoga.
4. What we do collect (anonymous usage data)
To understand how the Website performs and to improve the Service, we collect anonymous usage analytics. This information helps us see how people in general use FileYoga, but it does not include the content of your Files.
The anonymous analytics may include page visits, device type such as desktop, tablet or mobile, browser type and version, clicks on links or buttons, average time on page, scroll depth and performance or loading metrics such as how fast a page appears. This information is used in aggregated form and is not linked to the contents of your Files.
5. Analytics providers we use
We may use privacy compliant third party analytics providers to process anonymous usage data. These currently include Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. These services help us understand which pages are visited, which devices are used and how people move through the Website.
These analytics tools may use cookies or similar technologies to recognize repeat visits and measure usage patterns. They can receive technical and behavioral data such as visited pages, general region derived from an anonymized IP address, browser type and interactions like scrolling or clicking. They do not receive the content of your Files and they do not receive the documents or images that you process with FileYoga tools.
You can manage or block analytics cookies in your browser settings, and you may also use official opt out solutions offered by these providers where available.
6. Ads and cookies
FileYoga may show ads so that we can keep the Service free to use. Ads do not see or access the content of your Files and they do not interact with your documents, images or archives inside the tools.
Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to limit how often an ad is shown, to measure how well ads perform and to show more relevant ads based on general browsing behavior. These cookies do not contain the content of your Files. You can manage or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking some cookies may change how ads are displayed but does not affect how your Files are processed locally.
7. Types of cookies we use
There are two main types of cookies on the Website. Essential cookies are needed for core functions such as security features, load balancing and basic preferences. They do not store the content of your Files or sensitive personal data.
Non essential cookies may be used for analytics and advertising. They help us understand how the Website is used and how ads perform, but they are not required for basic use of the tools. You can control non essential cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through a cookie banner or settings panel on the Website.
8. No account needed
You can use FileYoga tools without creating an account. We do not require sign up or login for the core file operations. Because of this, we do not store long term personal profiles of your tool usage and we cannot restore past sessions or a history of converted Files.
9. Emails and direct contact
If you contact us by email or through a contact form, we will see the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address and message content. We use this information only to respond to your question, request or feedback and to manage support or administrative tasks.
We do not sell this information or share it with third parties for marketing. After a request is resolved, we keep related communication only as long as necessary for support, security or legal reasons. Please avoid sending sensitive or confidential documents by email whenever possible.
10. Third party links and embedded content
The Website may include links to external sites or may embed third party content such as fonts, videos or scripts. When you load or interact with that content, the third party may collect technical data about your device and usage.
We do not control how those third parties handle data and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites or services that you visit through links or embedded content on FileYoga.
11. Children’s privacy
FileYoga is a general purpose tool site and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will remove that information as soon as reasonably possible.
12. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Website and the systems we control. This includes the use of HTTPS encryption, secure hosting and limiting access to administrative interfaces.
Because Files are processed in your browser instead of on our servers, we do not store your File contents centrally, which reduces the risk of large scale data breaches affecting your documents. No online service is perfectly secure, so we recommend that you keep your browser and device up to date and close the tab after you finish using FileYoga.
13. Global privacy regulations
FileYoga is designed to respect privacy expectations in many regions. This includes major privacy regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, European Economic Area and United Kingdom, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA and CPRA), the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), PIPEDA in Canada, the Personal Data Protection Acts (PDPA) in Singapore and Thailand, the Privacy Act 1988 in Australia, the New Zealand Privacy Act and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa.
We do not sell personal information. We limit data collection to anonymous and aggregated analytics that help us operate and improve the Website. If you contact us and provide personal data, you may have rights of access, correction or deletion under your local law, and we will do our best to support those rights or point you to the relevant third party provider if they handle part of the data.
14. International data transfers
Some anonymous analytics and technical data may be processed on servers located outside your country, for example when our providers operate infrastructure in the United States or other regions. These transfers do not involve the content of your Files, because we do not upload your Files to our servers.
We select third party providers that state they apply recognized safeguards for international data transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or similar mechanisms, in line with the laws that apply to them.
15. Your choices and rights
You can continue to use FileYoga tools without creating an account. You can block or delete cookies in your browser and use ad blocking or tracking protection tools if you prefer. These choices may change how ads and analytics work but do not change the basic local processing of your Files.
If you live in a region with specific privacy rights, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada or California, you may have the right to request access to personal data that you have shared with us, to ask for corrections or to request deletion where appropriate. We will respond to such requests in a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, in the technologies we use or in applicable laws. When we update the Policy, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
If we make significant changes, we may also provide a clear notice on the Website. By continuing to use FileYoga after a new version is published, you agree to the updated Policy.
17. How to contact us
If you have any questions, requests or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how FileYoga handles data, you can contact us by using the contact page. We will do our best to respond as soon as possible.
